Engineer Amar Patel, who helped design jet fighter controls for Harris Corp., takes the reins of Brevard Achievement Center, moving abrubtly from the corporate world to the nonprofit world. He plans to use his technical skills to find better contracts for the BAC clients who do different kinds of work in nine centers. He loved engineering but he is eager to give back to the community.
